Stephan Scheibe’s art is pure, direct, and vibrant with colour. He draws his inspiration from materials that possess a history of their own: driftwood, salvaged wood, and deadwood meet concrete, sponges, and metal.
He stages these elements in an uncompromising way, always combining the raw with the vulnerable.
Born in Mönchengladbach in 1970, Stephan Scheibe has lived and worked in Stuttgart since 1989.
